Can you briefly introduce yourself and describe your journey as an entrepreneur? What made you take the plunge into entrepreneurship and what were some of the key milestones along the way?
I am Zivile, a dynamic tech event host, moderator and entrepreneur. My passion is creating impactful experiences that connect and empower individuals in the tech ecosystem and inspire collaboration, growth and positive change. I am the founder of the newly launched Perception Paradox – an educational company that offers workshops and uncovers stories about how to break through your mindset to achieve success and harmony.
Looking back on your entrepreneurial career, what are the three most important lessons you have learned that you think every aspiring entrepreneur should know?
There are three simple lessons I can take away from my entrepreneurial career:
- Embrace failure and learn from it; it is an essential part of the journey.
- Be fast and bold; stay resilient and committed, and do not focus too much on perfection during the ideation phase
- Network; surround yourself with a strong support network, including mentors, advisors and like-minded individuals.
Starting a business often means taking risks. How do you assess and deal with risk in your ventures, and what advice do you have for entrepreneurs to deal with uncertainty?
That’s a broad question. All entrepreneurship is inherently risky, so it’s important to assess and manage risk. I have started a few projects myself and worked with many entrepreneurs. Successful entrepreneurs often employ strategies such as conducting market research, validating their ideas with potential customers, and continuously monitoring market trends.
Entrepreneurs need to be adaptable, agile, and open to adjusting their strategies based on market uncertainties.
Building a diverse team with complementary skills and leveraging partnerships can also help mitigate risk. Entrepreneurs need to be adaptable, agile, and open to adjusting their strategies based on market uncertainties.
My most important advice, however, is to listen to your customers. We tend to fall in love with our solutions and not the problems.
Building a strong network is critical for entrepreneurs. What strategies have you used throughout your career to build meaningful connections and partnerships? How has networking contributed to your success?
Networking! This is such a theme for me. I often hear statements from founders like “networking is hard,” “it’s not for me,” and so on. I totally agree with you that it is a big challenge. But it’s an indispensable tool, and it’s a relationship-building tool.
My focus on networking has helped me a lot. First, it allows me to connect with bright minds, share ideas and perspectives, and get inspired – and second, if helps me form different partnerships and connect with various companies.
Networking is an indispensable tool, and it’s a relationship-building tool.
Strategies for developing meaningful connections and partnerships include: attending industry events, joining professional associations, and actively participating in online communities and social media platforms.
But it’s important to understand that building genuine relationships is based on mutual trust and supporting eachother comes first. This can open doors to new opportunities, collaborations and valuable insights.
And remember – give, give, give, and only then make an ask:)
One of the challenges many entrepreneurs face is finding the right balance between innovation and market demand. How do you approach this balance and what steps do you take to ensure your products/services match market needs?
Finding the balance between innovation and market demand is a delicate process. This can be achieved by conducting thorough market research, gathering customer feedback, and continually adapting your products or services to meet market needs. Developing a deep understanding of the target audience and monitoring industry trends can help us tailor our offerings to market needs. But my most important approach is listening.

Scaling a business requires effective leadership and team management. What leadership skills do you think are essential to managing a successful team, and how do you foster a positive work culture in your company?
Right now, I am just building my new team. But in my experience so far, effective leadership skills for leading a successful team include clear communication, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment, and empowering team members to take responsibility and contribute their unique skills. And for that to succeed, transparency and trust are key ingredients in creating a healthy culture.
In your experience, what are the most effective marketing and branding strategies for early-stage startups? How can entrepreneurs make the most of their limited resources to increase awareness and attract customers?
Early stage founders underestimate how important marketing and branding activities are. You can have a great product and solve the biggest problem – but what if no one knows about it (what happnes then)?
The latest tools and generative AI solutions allow us to make marketing and branding activities smoother and easier to design and execute.

Leveraging social media platforms, content marketing and thought leadership could maximize visibility relatively inexpensively. Building a strong brand identity from the early beginning can also be a recipe for success.
As an entrepreneur, what advice would you give to someone who is just starting their entrepreneurial journey? What are the key factors or habits that contribute to long-term success in the World?
For someone starting their entrepreneurial journey, it’s critical to have a clear vision, set measurable goals, and be passionate about your business. I think passion and obsession play an important role if you want to build a scaling business.

Effective time management, constant learning and seeking feedback, and a growth mindset are also important habits for long-term success. Building a strong support system, adaptability in the face of challenges, and a positive attitude can all contribute to entrepreneurial success.
Technology and digital transformation have revolutionized several industries. How have you used technology in your business and what new trends do you think entrepreneurs should keep an eye on in the coming years?
Leveraging technology is essential for modern businesses. We can do this in a number of ways, including automating processes, implementing data analytics for informed decision making, leveraging digital marketing channels, and exploring new technologies relevant to their industry.
Keeping an eye on trends like artificial intelligence, blockchain, and the Internet of Things can help you identify potential opportunities and stay. I am an avid user of no-code tools and generative AI. It saves time and money.
Finally, could you tell us some recommended resources such as books, websites or communities that have been valuable to you as an entrepreneur? How do you keep up with industry trends and continue to learn and grow?
Oh, that’s a tough question. I could make a long list out of it, but let stick to a few instead;)
- Newsletters: I recommend subscribing to Morning Brew, The Hard Fork by Marvin Liao newsletter, and the Sifted newsletter. These newsletters provide valuable insights into the latest industry trends, news about startups, and technology developments.
- Books: two books that have made a big impression on me are “Man’s Search for Meaning” by Viktor Frankl and “Range: Why Generalists Triumph in a Specialized World“, Frankl’s “Man’s Search for Meaning” offers deep insights into the search for meaning and purpose in life, while “Range” challenges the idea of hyper-specialization and encourages a broader approach to problem solving and innovation.
- Podcasts: I have found The Twenty Minute VC podcast and Diary of a CEO with Steven Bartlett to be very useful. The Twenty Minute VC features in-depth interviews with venture capitalists and startup founders that provide valuable insights into the world of startups and investing. The Diary of a CEO podcast offers inspiring stories and practical advice from successful entrepreneurs and business leaders.
